The General Eastern DewPro™ MMY 245 Moisture Analyzer is a convenient, portable instrument that can quickly spot check the performance of gas dryers for compressed air, natural gas, and other pure gas supplies. The MMY 245 also accurately tests SF6 gas in electrical equipment and analyzes the moisture content of breathing air or oxygen.
The DewPro’s unique design incorporates a proven planar sensor for fast, accurate dewpoint measurements, typically within five minutes. The sensor is stored in a very dry environment within the analyzer. During measurements, the sample is directed across this dry sensor. Dry-down time before the next reading is minimized, since dry-down occurs while the instrument is inactive or being transported to the next measurement point.
Just connect the MMY 245 to your process sample tap, allow a minute to purge the connections, press the power button, turn the handle to the measure position, wait for the rate of change arrows to appear and record the indicated moisture reading, return the handle to the store position and disconnect the instrument. What could be simpler? The DewPro MMY 245 allows you to set up measurements according to the moisture unit of measure, temperature unit of measure, and other operating parameters you select. An optional pressure sensor provides real-time correction for concentration units of measure or a pressure constant for use with stable pressure measurements.
The MMY 245 Portable Moisture Analyzer can also be used for convenient field-calibrations of other, permanently installed MMY DewPro loop-powered dewpoint transmitters. This is accomplished simply by electing the calibration mode via the MMY 245’s keypad and matrix. An RS-485 connection between the portable and the transmitter provides for digital correction of the transmitter’s calibration data. The field calibration procedure takes about an hour, and eliminates the need to take the transmitters out of service and return them to the factory for recalibration. |
