Short description ELD P series
The ELD P with its unique pulse time of flight (TOF) measuring method can measure distances to natural objects and reflectors in a working range of more than 100 m. The ELD P transmits extremely short light pulses, measures the TOF to the object and back and derives from the TOF the distance, which is transmitted to an interface suitable for a computer, an analogue measurement instrument or a PLC. The ELD P is equipped with a powerful microprocessor. By means of parameterized mean value calculation high dynamic positioning tasks may be accomplished. Fixed distances can be defined as thresholds. Measurements below these thresholds will be displayed and indicated via switching outputs and LEDs. These thresholds and the output are programmable by means of a PC via RS 232. ELD P is equipped with opto-coupled RS 232, RS 422 and analogue interface as standard. Optional interface is PROFIBUS.

Description
The ELDP Laser Distance Meters operate via a unique pulsed time-of-flight (T.O.F.) measurement technique and measure distances over working ranges of up to 600 meters according to reflection surface. They transmit ultra-short light pulses, measure the T.O.F. to the object and back to derive the distance and transmit this data information via an interface to a computer, PLC or an analog instrument.

Equipped with a powerful m-Processor, these Laser Distance Meters are able to handle a variety of measurement tasks. By means of parameterized mean value calculation, high dynamic positioning tasks may be accomplished.

Two programmable threshold bands can be defined. Measurements below these thresholds are indicated via switch outputs & LED's. These thresholds & outputs are programmable via RS232/RS422 connection to a PC or a local interface CPU. Equipped with opto-coupled RS 2232, RS422 & analog interface (with one digital output) as standard. Optional Profi-Bus DP Interface is available.

Secondary Environmental Enclosures are available for additional protection for indoor, outdoor and elevated temperature applications.
