The Examiner is an easy to use battery operated portable vibration meter that is ideal for Predictive Maintenance. Simply place the accelerometer (Magnetic mount or Stinger Probe) onto machinery bearing caps and push the single button. Take readings of:
- Acceleration - Use for higher frequencies (Gear Mesh) - 0.01 to 19.99 g
- Velocity (in/sec and mm/sec) - Used for rotations < 6000 RPM - 0.01 to 19.99 in/sec or mm/sec
- Acceleration Enveloping - High pass filter which helps detect bearing/gear defects and lubrication problems - 0.01 to 19.99 ge
On-Time Software Features
Manually store the readings and enter them into On-Time software. On-Time Trending Software permits manual entry of data (vibration, speed, temperature, pressure, etc). Software then does the trending and alarms. Trends will tell you when to schedule shut downs for bearing replacement rather than fixing problem after a failure. On-Time is an easy to use graphical program. It greatly reduces analysis time. Maintenance professionals will use headsets (stethoscope) and volume control to listen and identify specific bearing problems and to confirm digital values on the display. |
